Presently, my husband Clayton and I live in Hermon. We have a daughter,Katherine and
two beautiful grandchildren Rebecca and Dalton.
I worked at Nortel for 23 years. During that time I participated in collective
bargaining, arbitration and conflict resolution,as well as lobbying all levels of
government. I was also privileged to represent the C.A.W. as a non government
organizer on their first Social Justice Committee and travelled to war torn countries to
help in re-establishing refugees.
In 1997 I graduated from McMasters University with diplomas in Addictions Studies
and Addictions Care Worker.
During my retirement I have worked with the Childrens Aid Society and served 3 years
on the Board of Children s Mental Health in Belleville.
I also was President of the Work
Enterprise Centre helping local residents with training and job placements.
My hobbies are local history and genealogy. I was on the Steering Committee for the
book “ North of Seven and Proud of it”. I have also enjoyed gathering information for
the Metis History Centre.
